The Only Investment Strategy That Wins Every Decade

Diversified Wealth Management
The attached chart of asset class returns by decade is a great reminder: Nobody gets to be right all the time.
Look at the 1930s and 2000s. Stocks (S&P 500) were down, even returning less than inflation. Gold was the hero in the 30s. Gold and Real Estate saved the day in the 2000s. The takeaway? Whatever won the last decade is probably taking a nap now.
That's the point of diversification. You don't need to guess the winner; you just need to make sure you're not solely stuck with the loser.
This chart only covers the classics. Serious diversifiers often look beyond: Private Equity, Private Credit, Bitcoin, etc. These assets have different return drivers and don't necessarily follow the public markets when Stocks or Bonds are having a bad decade.
Make sure to diversify your investments so that, no matter which asset class decides to be the star, you still end up ahead of the game.
